Ronald (b.1964) is an artist from a young age. His parents Aurea and Amado Castrillo – a great writer, illustrator and sculptor have influenced him to develop his art skills at their family workshop in Makati at the age of ten. Having a father who’s works are exceptional crafting at its finest, Ronald was then in a great start. With simple drawings and sketches guided by his father he shaped his skills into more refined abilities that led to sculpting.
Inspired by the world around him, Ronald carefully plans a strategy and brings his imagination to life. Shaping metal into beautiful lines and curves, Ronald builds artworks people can touch and feel in admiration. He believes that great sculptures should be conceived thru a great idea and executed to perfection after careful planning guided by technical know-how. His modern sculptures have featured in documents like in EDSA and many more places and city centers.
